Situated in the heart of the Fermanagh Lakeland, on the banks of the River Erne, lies Belleek, home of Ireland's oldest pottery. For more than 150 years this little village has been famous for its distinctive Parian china. Made using materials and techniques handed down from generation to generation, no two pieces are the same. Every handle, flower and brush stroke is lovingly applied by hand to create the look and feel that is uniquely Belleek. Regardless of size or cost, every piece is crafted with this same skill and attention to detail.
Belleek's reputation has been built on product excellence. Back in 1857, the pottery's founder John Caldwell Bloomfield declared that any piece with even the slightest flaw should be destroyed. This golden rule is still employed.
